Adam's Bridge, also known as Rama's Bridge, is a chain of natural limestone shoals between Pamban Island, off the southeastern coast of India, and Mannar Island, off the northwestern coast of Sri Lanka. The entire bridge is 30 miles (48 km) long and is rarely submerged by more than three feet (a meter) of water.
